Cllr. Alexander has been awarded the Honoured Framptonian award:

Only 7 ‘Honoured Framptonian’ awards have been presented by the parish council since 1985. They are awarded for exceptional contribution to community life.  Cllr. Alexander has been a councillor for nearly 40 years and was Chairman of the Council for more than 20 years.   He has been involved in many parish activities, including organising the Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebrations, actively contributing to Frampton Volunteers, the Village Society, Frampton twinning activities with Bougbarré, and organising the Country Fair.He was a key player in responding to the emergencies of Foot and Mouth Disease in 2001 and to flooding which occurred in Frampton more recently.   He resurrected the Remembrance Day service and parade and was instrumental in getting the memorial refurbished.  He has been active in raising funds for refurbishment of the church.

The award was presented by Cllr. Rollo Clifford, who is Frampton’s longest serving councillor. The citation was read by Col. Andy Hodson, a local villager.
